Rama Jyoti Vernon has been at the forefront of the East-West yoga movement for over 40 years. She has studied with many masters of yoga, and has synthesized methods and wisdom from many traditions. Rama Jyoti is known internationally for her unique approach to teaching yoga, and has devoted much of her life to peace missions throughout the world including the Soviet Union, Israel, and Central America. In addition to her extensive background in asana and the Yoga Sutras, Rama is extremely well versed in the philosophy, lineages and healing benefits of Yoga.

Friday Night Talk: Healing - Individual to Global
July 11, 2008 7:00 - 9:00 pm

Rama Jyoti will speak on the spiritual principles of resolving conflict in our lives and in our world. She will explore the relationship of Patanjali’s yoga sutras to the healing of self and the healing between nations. This lecture serves as a foundation to the Saturday and Sunday workshops.
Cost for this session only: $20.

Rama Jyoti’s approach to the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali integrates these ancient teachings into asana practice, and explores applying them in daily life. Her unique teaching style emphasizes opening the body by extending and breathing into each pose as a deeply spiritual offering, assimilating breath, energy, philosophy and one’s own appropriate structural alignment within each posture.
Cost for Saturday only: $140 (early registration $125)
Cost for Sunday only: $65 (early registration $60)
