Deanna
Vance, M.Ed., LPC
Deanna
Vance has worked in the Mental Health field for more than 26 years. Her experience
is varied, including work in a Child Residential Treatment
Center, an Elementary School, in Community Mental Health and most recently,
in Private Practice. Deanna specializes in using a Play Therapy milieu, which is the
treatment of choice when working with children. Although her expertise
is
with children, she enjoys working with people of all ages.
I believe my work as a therapist is to provide an unconditional safe
haven for children, adolescents and adults to process their life
experiences, clarify how they feel and identify what they want/need to
feel good. I believe that feeling good is our birthright and the
more liberty we have from unconscious motivations, the more command we
have over our own thoughts and emotions, the better we feel. This
is best achieved by honoring our whole selves: body, mind and
spirit/heart.
I
feel grateful to provide my services in an environment that is in
alignment with my highest values and with practices that support
feeling good.
